Additional Description: This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is what many of you Chevy fans have been waiting for. The trim tag has a the X77 for a true Z-machine and the block is a proper DZ-code 302 V8. But there have also been some seriously cool upgrades (just look at the size of the rear wheels) to make this a Z/28 with added distinction. The trim tag on this one is the kind of thing that makes us get excited. It not only indicates this is an X77 coupe, but also it was born in Tuxedo Black. There has been an investment later in life to make sure this desirable darkness also has a deep shine. Plus, this has all the best features you love on a first gen Camaro. The Z/28 dual stripes are iconic, so it's great to have them in a high contrast white. The same goes for the red Z/28 badging. You also have the Super Scoop cowl hood, deep chin spoiler, and D80 rear spoiler. And since this one also has the plenty of upgrades, they made sure to give it the hidden headlights of the RS package. There's a nice brightness on the chrome bumpers and trim, but the one you'll love the most are the beauty rings of the Rally wheels. After all, they draw the eye to the massive rear tires. The black and white of the exterior return inside to deliver the iconic houndstooth cloth on the seats. It's an upgrade the feels fresh and looks correct, right down to the button-top personation. The interior really goes of the full vintage feeling with deluxe door panel and plenty of wood-like trim on the center console and dash. You get a terrific gauge package with the large speedo and tach in front of you and the desirable quad readouts on the top of the console. Even these upgrades look well-integrated it includes a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel on a tilt column and a Hurst shifter with a bright chrome topper calling out for your right hand. And the modern AM/FM digital tuner looks like the factory AM radio. The engine is why the Z/28 is so special. This is the correct DZ-code 302 cubic-inch V8. It's unconfirmed for numbers-matching, but we do know it has been given a proper professional rebuilt. So you have a correct Z/28 heart that is a true strong runner. The engine bay has a clean look of a solid investment, and it also means you get to see all the best details. This includes the correct components, like the Winters intake, ribbed valve covers, and pan sealing the air grabber to the fresh air hood. It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and long tube headers mean this mighty motor get to exhale with added power and authority. The Muncie four-speed manual transmission gives you firm control of the power, and it feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear. The rear end is further upgraded with ladder bars, adjustable coilovers, and it's tubbed to accommodate the Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires (the gas tank Is now a fuel cell in the trunk.) Power steering and power brakes with front discs complete this Z-car that's made to eat the streets.
