Additional Description: The Pontiac Bonneville was a large full size car produced from 1957 all the way till 2005. They were some of the top of the line models and often were the biggest Pontiac sedans produced. The second generation Bonnevilles were produced from 1959 till 1960 and were the introduction of two of Pontiacs greatest marketing inspirations, the split grill and wide track slogan! The unique style helped the whole range with sales and the wide track helped these cars be considered one of the best cornering vehicles on the market. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this extraordinary 1960 Bonneville convertible for your consideration. Recently out of an extensive private collection where it was owned for 27 years, this car is in museum quality shape. The white exterior is excellent, the paint is deep and even. A lot the the body was said to have given an expensive repaint when the car was restored in 2000. The chrome trim is perfect and was also rechromed when the car was restored. The car has the original factory hubcaps on whitewall tires. The top is excellent shape as is glass and the rest of the the rubber trim. The interior of this car is similarly excellent, with gorgeous red panels and vinyl seats. It is in excellent condition with no rips, stains, or other marks. The gauges are functional as is the heater. It appears the radio might work with a little fiddling. The dash and interior trim are great and look as nice as they did out of the factory. The large 389cid Tempest V8 engine is very powerful and pulls the car down the road with confidence. It starts and runs very well and the Super Hydra-Matic transmission is very smooth and shifts well. This car is as nice as they come and represents an era when Pontiac was truly living up to its slogan of being GMs Excitement brand. These large models were some of the most stylish and advanced cars of their era. The car comes with six ignition keys and two for the trunk.
